Al and Willie took their relationship to a new level on Thursday.
Valentine's Day is fast approaching, and Chassie Post from Gilt stopped by to show Willie a number of gifts for sweethearts. Like Kisstixx, a his 'n' hers lip balm that creates a flavor combination when you make out with your sweetheart. Or, as the case may be, your dashing co-anchor.
To help test the efficacy of the lip balm's "Peaches and Cream" flavor, Al gamely stepped up to the plate and planted one on Willie. Meanwhile, Natalie urged the producers to go to commercial.

"Can we agree this is not a Bar Refaeli situation?" Willie said, referring to the Israeli supermodel who makes out with nerdy Jesse Heiman in a now infamous Super Bowl commercial for Go Daddy.
Off-camera, TODAY.com caught up with Al for some post-smooch commentary. "It was like nothing I've ever felt before... and hopefully will never again," Al said. "Our wives collectively think we have some 'splainin to do."
"Neither peaches nor cream ever will taste the same again," Willie told us. "I got a great phone call from my wife after the show. Here's a partial transcript: Me: 'Hey.' Her: 'Did you make out with Al on the show this morning?' Me: 'Yeah, kind of.' Her: 'Oh, ok.'"
Later on the air, when a bouquet of flowers arrived for Natalie, Al intercepted them and gallantly handed him to Willie, who affectionately called him "Peaches."

Look I get the whole gay thing. I'm not homophobic at all. But give me a break. These two goons smooching on national tv. Time to head for Good Morning America.
Agree with Philly, that was rediculious and pretty embarrassing for these two men ... it has become increasing obvious that my fav Today Show is trying wayyyy to hard to compete with the humor of their rivals. This cast isn't humorous and just trying too hard to have fun and lovin' one another. Give it a rest! I have been thinking of changing my viewership after some 20+ years of enjoying Today, but recently ... not gettin' them! Get rid of Al and maybe the humor could get real ... sorry.
Hilarious! Love this show
The Today Show is becoming more and more promiscuous and edgy. Two men kissing on this morning show is definitely going to raise eyebrows and wonder down what drain NBC is headed. I feel the same way about Hoda & Kathie Lee boozing it up on air, they are going to hell in a handbag.
THANKS FOR RUINING THE TODAY SHOW FOR ME! I have always enjoyed watching the Today Show until TODAY!!!. I won't be able to watch, without thinking about Al and Willie kissing!!! I am DISGUSTED!!!!! I immediately turned to "Good Morning America."
I was watching, the kiss itself was not a big deal. I don't care that they shared a peck but I think that whoever told Willie and Al to put on the lip balm and kiss was out of line. It seemed like the guest/correspondent thought Willie would share a smooch and when it was clear he was not going to "balm up" and kiss her, you made him kiss Al.
Shame on you.
I love watching the today show...i have it on every morning...I get a kick out of Al, I always get a smile on my face when he does the weather and the echo of the day of the week...i like watching everyone on the Today Show...and won't ever change...KUDOS
